The Coffee Grinder – Newport RI

The Coffee Grinder is a small cafe located at the very tip of Bannister’s Wharf in the heart of Newport, RI. With its’ picturesque location overlooking Newport Harbor and friendly environment, I thought it couldn’t get much better, that is until I tried their beverages! From my experience, I will say the coffee and tea are both well above par and were absolutely delicious! I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Alyssa, who made me feel warm and welcomed as if I were family. After speaking with her for a while I was thrilled to learn that she has owned the coffee shop & has been able to keep the same location for 21 years! There is nothing I love more than finding a local business who is able to blow away the big box coffee shops. If you haven’t done so already, do yourself a favor and stop in to grab a fresh cup of joe! Oh, did I mention they also have a deck fitted with Adirondack chairs that are perched right above the water’s edge?! This spot is truly a Rhode Island gem, keep up the great work Alyssa!
